Midwest Parent Educators brings its annual Homeschool Conference and Curriculum Fair back to the KCI Expo Center in Kansas City on April 2-3, 2027. Now in its 41st year, the two-day event draws more than 120 curriculum vendors to one of the Midwest's largest homeschool curriculum fairs, paired with a full workshop program featuring more than 60 presenters on practical homeschooling topics. A dedicated Unique Learners track offers eight specialized workshops for families navigating learning differences, and the Mentor Moms program connects newer homeschoolers with experienced ones throughout the event. MPE Kids supervised programming is available for ages 4-12. Admission is free for current MPE members; a $75 family pass covers non-members, with a vendor-hall-only option at $35.
Midwest Parent Educators has anchored Christian homeschooling in the Kansas City metropolitan area — serving both the Missouri and Kansas sides — for roughly four decades. Each spring, MPE brings together more than 120 vendors for its Homeschool Conference and Curriculum Fair, one of the region's largest homeschool events. Nationally known speakers address practical and faith-based topics across multiple workshop sessions, with conference recordings available for families who can't attend in person. Year-round support includes mentoring, a used-curriculum sale, park days, graduation ceremonies, and the newsletter The Parent Educator.
