Living Feast Collective
The Feast of Ideas Retreat 2027 is a Charlotte Mason educational gathering hosted by Living Feast Collective at The Crossing Retreat Center in Lexington, Nebraska, running January 14 to 16. The organizers extend a wide welcome: "Whether you are an experienced Charlotte Mason educator or you haven't yet met Charlotte Mason's philosophy, you are welcome." The weekend pairs plenary sessions from experienced CM educators with breakout sessions led by Living Feast Collective speakers. Between talks, attendees take part in the hands-on practices central to a Charlotte Mason education: folk music and dancing, picture study, nature study, book discussions, handicrafts, and Shakespeare. It is a restful winter gathering centered on ideas and community. Registration details were still being finalized at the time of writing.
Rooted in central Nebraska, Living Feast Collective brings together families drawn to Charlotte Mason's vision of a generous, living education. Its signature gathering, the Feast of Ideas Retreat, is held at a retreat center in the region and offers homeschool parents teaching, encouragement, and time to study the method in good company. The Christ-centered, Charlotte Mason approach shapes the whole experience, helping mothers and families spread a rich educational "feast" of literature, nature study, and the arts at home.
