The Louisiana Homeschool Conference and Book Fair returns March 12-13, 2027 to First Baptist Church in Hammond, one of the oldest continuous state homeschool events in the South. Friday evening opens with vendor hall browsing from 5-7:30pm, followed by a full Saturday of workshops and keynote sessions. Topics span education philosophy, special-needs support, biblical worldview, student motivation, and progress assessment, with multiple speakers presenting throughout both days. A catered hot lunch is included for registered parents. A paid youth program runs during adult sessions, and high schoolers in grades 10 and up can access free ASVAB career-exploration testing. Family registration covers a married couple or single parent plus grandparents. Homeschool Louisiana members receive a $10 discount.
One of the oldest state homeschool ministries in the South, Homeschool Louisiana has supported families and monitored state legislation since 1982.
