Washington Homeschool Organization (WHO)
The WHO Homeschool Conference 2026 is a single all-day event hosted by the Washington Homeschool Organization at the Federal Way Performing Arts & Event Center on Saturday, July 18, running 8:30 am to 5:15 pm. The day is built around five workshop time slots from established homeschool educators, more than 30 exhibitor booths from curriculum companies and educational services, and a curriculum swap where families exchange gently used materials. The 2026 speaker lineup includes Julie Bogart of Brave Writer, Amber O'Neal Johnston of Heritage Mom, Amanda Schenkenberger, Linda Love Gorordo, and geology specialist Patrick Nurre. The statewide, inclusive conference serves both newcomers and experienced families. Admission is free for children under 18, with member and non-member pricing for adults.
WHO has long served as Washington's all-welcome statewide homeschool organization, offering legal information, member support, and a yearly gathering at a performing-arts and event center in the Seattle metro. The conference centers on practical workshops, with sessions spanning getting started, curriculum choices, special needs, and high school, plus a vendor area for browsing materials. Open to families of every approach and belief, it stands apart from the state's faith-specific groups and gives newcomers a grounded place to learn the ropes.
