The 2027 Texas Home School Convention returns to The Woodlands Waterway Marriott Hotel and Convention Center, June 3-5. Hosted by the Texas Home School Coalition, which has advocated for Texas homeschoolers since 1986, the three-day event brings together families, educators, and policy-minded parents from across the state. The convention format combines a large curriculum and vendor hall with workshops covering practical homeschooling at every grade level, teen-focused programming, and sessions that engage the legislative and advocacy landscape shaping Texas homeschool law. It is one of two annual THSC conventions; this edition serves the Houston and South Texas region. Founded in 1986 in direct response to legal threats against Texas homeschoolers, the Texas Home School Coalition has grown into the state's preeminent homeschool advocacy organization. Rooted in a Christ-centered mission, THSC hosts two annual Texas HomeSchool Conventions — one in the Arlington/DFW area and one at The Woodlands — each featuring a large vendor and curriculum hall, dozens of workshops for parents and teens, and speakers who engage both practical homeschooling and the legislative landscape. Advocacy remains woven throughout the organization's identity.
