Taproot Teacher Training (Art of Homeschooling)
Taproot Teacher Training 2026 marks 20 years of this secular, Waldorf-inspired residential retreat for homeschooling parents. Running August 6-9 at Camp Asbury in Hiram, Ohio, this year's theme is "The Lively Arts: Bringing Learning to Life." Jean Miller and eight fellow instructors lead small-group workshops covering grades K-12, including painting, storytelling, drama, music, movement, handwork, nature study, and inner work practices for the educator. All lodging, meals, snacks, and workshop materials are included in the registration fee ($827, or two payments of $417). A commuter option is available for those staying off-site. Daily rhythm includes morning yoga or walks, structured workshops, and evening gatherings like puppet shows and music jams. Registration closes July 27 or when full.
