Families for Home Education (Missouri)
Families for Home Education holds its statewide Missouri Homeschool Convention March 18-20, 2027, at the St. Charles Convention Center. Missouri's oldest homeschool organization, founded in 1983 and secular in its membership, FHE draws families from across the state for its largest annual gathering of the year. The multi-day convention brings together speakers, workshops, and a resource and vendor fair in a format designed for families at every stage of homeschooling. Because FHE's membership spans all educational philosophies and backgrounds, the programming reflects that breadth rather than any single approach. For families new to Missouri homeschool law, FHE's legislative focus also makes the convention a practical venue to learn about state legal requirements.
Founded in 1983, Families for Home Education is Missouri's oldest statewide homeschool organization and one of the longest-standing in the country. FHE's core mission is legal advocacy: monitoring Missouri legislative activity and defending families' rights to educate their children without state interference. The organization is not affiliated with any religious or political group, representing families of all approaches and backgrounds. Member support includes regional chapters, a Capitol Day field trip, an annual resource fair in the St. Louis area, and online conference programming.
