One of the oldest homeschool associations in the Mountain State, WVHEA has served West Virginia families since its founding in the spring of 1986. The organization is all-welcome — open to families of every background, belief, and educational philosophy — and is run entirely by volunteers. Beyond the annual spring convention in Charleston, WVHEA offers year-round practical support: downloadable Notice of Intent forms, portfolio review templates, and a statewide directory of portfolio reviewers, helping families navigate West Virginia's homeschool compliance requirements with confidence.
