Founded in 2000 by Eric and Joyce Burges out of Baker, Louisiana, the National Black Home Educators is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit built around empowering parents to educate their children for excellence. NBHE offers curriculum resources, parent training, one-to-one consultations, and regional support chapters. The annual summer Family Conference brings together workshops, curriculum vendors offering convention discounts, and performances showcasing the creative talents of Black homeschool families in a celebratory, community-centered gathering.
