First — what is an umbrella school?
In Tennessee, most families don’t homeschool entirely on their own — about 95% enroll through an umbrella school: a church-related (Category IV) school that registers your children as its students, keeps their official records, and oversees compliance. You still choose your curriculum and teach your own way. The umbrella is the school of record standing behind you — and Numa is that umbrella.
